The Koshi Balancing™ Method combines somatic wisdom from many sources developed over decades of clinical practice. The various teachers who have deepened my approach include Miyata Tomei, kendo hanshi from the Mito Toubukan dojo; Kamijo Hideyaki sensei of the Kyoto Tenrikyo Church; Meridian therapy’s Shudo Denmei and Okada Akizo sensei; Dr. Wang Ju-Yi. My sotai teachers: Sorimachi Dai-Itchi, Peter Thompson, Stephen Brown, and Bob Quinn. The osteopathic work of J.P. Barral’s Visceral Manipulation. Other significant structural and movement influences have come from Rolfing (Structural Integration), Feldenkrais work, Emily Conrad’s Continuum work, Taichi and Contact Improv.
